I have been in this business for long now,so i guess i should let u know my point of view.It is said and believed that all free antivirus programs have some or the other limitation;some say,they deliberately leave loopholes so that they are not 100% fool-proof.I have experimented with many free antiviruses,mostly all of them,and have found that my system got infected with trojans and other mailicious viruses,even wen i had those a/v updated and running.Since the day I have switched over to a paid anti-virus software,my troubles have vanished.Did I make my point clear?

I agree, most freeware has a leach of some sort, malware, trojan, or something hidden within the download, do yourself a favour and buy a trusted program, may cost a bit, but will save you hours of hassle later. Report It

ive just started using AntiVir which you can download for free and its great.
I was using norton and its slow, oh so very bloody slow and after asking on this site about it was told by everyone to get rid of it.
Spybot is also good for spyware as well and again is fast and almost daily updated.
