What is wrong with my AVG Anti-Virus Software?

When i run it it allways stops when it scans the file c:\$VAULT$.AVG\02937251.FIL , why is this and what can i do to fix it? When it hits that one it just stays there and never moves on ...

Maybe there is a problem with AVG. You should uninstall it (from Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove programs) and reinstall it or install a different program. Here you have some more free programs from which you can choose:

get what you pay for. hmmm should of used norton.
Try uninstalling and reinstall.there may have been a problem with the original down load.

Also look at backing it up with Spybot search and destroy.with Spyblaster riding shotgun. Ad-ware se. and a fire wall like zone alarm.

Just because you have anti virus does not mean you are protected,as a lot of a/virus don't recognize spy ware Trojans key loggers etc as a problem
